I hunted Arkansas a few times, was a total joke, idiots everywhere!

I’ve been a duck hunter over thirty years and I’ve always said the duck hunting community has the largest abundance of a holes of all!

The guys sprinting next to the horses 🤣 🤣
It's just as bad horn hunting when the WMAs open here. Except in this case the "duck hole" has already been poached. So dumb

Generally have had decent interactions with guys big game hunting, duck hunting and dove hunting I’ve been peppered, harassed, almost been in fist fights over spots… totally insane. All on public ground haha

Small group of guys that hunt around here a lot of times if we are watching the same field we will just team up and hunt together. I hunt water once or twice a year to remind me how much I love dry fields and hate waders. I want to hunt the green timber some time it will be with a guide not doing the rat race thing

Had some of my best hunts and even made a couple buddies teaming up on a spot. It’s always an interesting proposition when you are complete strangers but tends to work out better than competing for the same pressured birds on public

Same here the best hunt I ever had two groups showed up to the same field. We teamed up, hid 8 layouts in the field and shot an 8 man limit of ducks and 5-6 man limit of geese. Looking back I was too young and dumb to get their numbers and regret it. Great group of dudes.

I get frustrated with the pressure we get around here. If it looked anything close to that video I would give up.

Thats another nice thing no one cares about waterfowl so getting permission is easy about the only time i hunt public is on sloughs. Only time i was told no this year was because my father in law had all ready got permission. Our nr season is set up to really favor residents so that keeps pressure at near zero with no guides around.

There’s buttheads all over but plenty of good out there too. I hunt almost exclusively private for geese and Publix for ducks.

I met one guy 15 yrs ago because we both had permission on same Canada field. I was in his wedding a few yrs later and made some life long friends that were already friends of his.

The “race” is bizarre to me: Sitka I think made a 25 horse video a few yrs ago showcasing (I guess? ) it and trying to make it look cool. I would be as far away from that nonsense as possible and I pretty much hunt exclusively public water, can’t pay me to sit dry grain when greenheads season comes in
