DT1 or Standard T1???

I have never used the duplex frame but have extensively used the bikini frame with T1 bag. Last year I packed out a deboned sheep, a bull elk Two trips, a moose for me and a helped a couple of buddies on theirs. Every load with an animal was in excess of 100lbs and the BT1 combo did its job better than any other pack I have used to that point (cables frame types, various badlands and other comparables).

Where the bikini shinned in my eyes is that in daypack mode it was super comfortable, so much so I often forgot I was wearing it. I have been caught unexpectedly on the side of a mountain before, not fun, and now always bring my day hunt stuff plus my sleeping bag/pad/bivy (about 3lbs) with me anytime I head out from camp.
I have also recently purchased the high camp 7k bag for it and like how easy it is to swap bags.

Really liking my emr2 bikini combo.
Never tried a t1 but the duplex is just to rigid for me to comfortably dayhunt with.

Well, now you guys have got me contemplating the bikini as well....If I'm buying new, the T1 is a little more attractive because of the price, but there are plenty of lightly used DT1 and BT1 that could be had for a good price. I guess I've got more thinking to do.

I have both,, if you never have a need for using the frame without the bag the T1 is a better option as it is lighter. The duplex frame does carry heavy loads better for me than the T1, but I can't carry that kinda of weight anymore so another reason for me to use the T1.

So far the EMR II with Bikini with long stays is my first choice.

Ram porn + Kifaru porn = speechless. In order to get all these pics most guys would have to use the same ram for pictures in different packs. Impressive.

For those of you with the BT1, how are you hauling your meat? In the bag, grab-it, or cargo panel?

Meat goes into a dry bag and then into the main bag of the T1,, any excess gear goes under and above the meat with anything that will not fit lashed to the pack with a grab-it.

I will be using the grab it to carry my bow this year so it comes in real handy for that too. When rifle hunting I carry my tent in my grab it on the way in and a puffy and/or raingear is secured by the grab it while hunting.

My T1 - deboned meat goes in tag BOMB bags and that goes into kifaru meat Baggie and into my pack. Never saw the need to do the load shelf thing but then again I never tried it.

Is anyone using the DT1 and hauling meat between the frame and a full bag? If so, how are you doing this?

I might have mis spoken, I thought you could place meat between bag and frame.

I own the T1 but swear ive seen pics like that..
