I sure need to -- but it will likely be a dry feb.Anyone participating in ‘Dry January’?
I am
Sounds like someone just got back from Hawaii as well.I changed my goal. Instead of doing dry January, Im avoiding all rum based drinks EXCEPT rum and cokes and Mai Tais.
There is straight-edge punk rock, if you're into that kinda thing. Arguably even more punk to buck the establishment entirely.I am, but I'm strongly considering breaking it tonight. It's just way more punk rock to not go along with trends.
Those Huberman podcasts on alcohol and the one on sugar got me started. I cleaned on the pantry of anything that had “added sugar” on the label and gave up alcohol. The no sugar has been way harder for me that no booze. Which was a surprise to me as I drank way to much, even by my low standards.Haven’t had a drink since August, the quiting drinking thread on here abd huberman podcast literally changed my life. Best decision I’ve made for my mind and body.
Agreed. There should be something in the sober January by-laws that says you don’t need to tell people about it. But there clearly isn’t.When did this become a thing? Makes me want to drink more

same. Hat tip to those making the effort though.I don't drink much I can count on one hand how many drinks I've had in the last 5-6 years.
So a dry January to me means lack of snow.
