Dry Ice..Western Montana/Eastern Idaho

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for places I can get dry ice in eastern Idaho or western Montana. I will be coming from North Dakota on I-90 through Butte and then south on I-15 to Dillon. I'm pretty sure I can get it in Salmon but since they re-opened 324 after the fire we plan to come through the Lemhi pass, so we won't be passing through Salmon. Any info on places in Dillon, Butte or Bozeman would be great. Thanks.

I've always found it at any Smith's grocery store throughout the west.

Most grocery stores have it, I go back and get it at the meat counter/butcher case at my local store.

Yep, I've gotten it there before as well.

OP, if you google dry ice vendors there is usually a list of places that carry it based upon location.

Thanks guys. A quick google for Van's in Dillon says it's permanently closed.

I have found most Walmart super centers to carry it. Not sure if there are any on your travels though.

Here's the phone number for Safeway in Dillon, just call them, I can pretty much guarantee they have it, the Safeway by me in Colorado has it.

There's nothing mystical or special about dry ice, most grocery chains have it.

Not 100% sure if Three Bears in Butte carries it, but here's the phone number for them to call 406-494-4116.

The IGA in Dillon changed to Town & Country Foods. It's right off the first exit heading north next to the Hospital. The Dillon Safeway is off the second exit as you are heading north. Both have had dry ice in the past.
3 Bears in Butte has it too, they are right next to the last exit heading east. They also have sporting goods, food, and fuel.

Going to say I know the Walmarts in Idaho Falls carry it.

Praxair in Bismarck has it for sure, I just got some. Not sure if that is too soon in your journey or not.
