DRT Terminal Shock Load Data

Does it make sense that my 79 DRT is hitting min terminal velocity essentially at the same distance as my 95DRT in 6CM?

Has anyone loaded or used their new 7mm bullets? Looks like there's a 140 and 165gr. .510 and .601 BC.
Seems like those are good weights from 7-08 to 7RM/PRC.

I wish I could buy some more of the 152gr 277s.

DRT, finally shipping to California residences, last time I tried was a year ago and they refused to ship to CA. That appears to be resolved, now.

They’ll ship projectiles to your door now? I checked their website and it still says ffl only. I’ll give them a call in the morning to double check. I wrote them off due to that. Thanks for the heads up

For clarification only ordered projectiles not ammunition. Maybe I snuck one through, USPS tracking says it will be delivered tomorrow. I had also written them off, was baffled they would not sell projectiles (unloaded) to the largest single market for non lead ammo. I kinda get their confusion, its legal to ship components to private homes but not loaded ammo in CA. Or at least has been legal, I cant keep up with the onslaught of legislation coming at us.

Probably got tired of having shipments messed with and ticked off customers.

Gotcha. I’ll give them a call in the morning and clarify with them. It would be nice to have an almost lead option without the hassle of getting laughed out of a ffl shop

Alrighty. I just got done with a nice conversation with DRT. They are willing to ship projectiles to California so long as there aren’t any local restrictions. It seems like they’re just extra cautious about it because California's laws change so quickly and they’re a small business that doesn’t have a large legal budget to keep up with Californias laws so they’ve just stayed away from home shipping. I get it, the last thing you want is to get in trouble and lose the business or worse.

I asked if there was anything I could do as a customer to help make it simpler for them to be sure and we came to a note in the order comments that it’s legal to ship projectiles so they have a paper trail. I found the penal code that spells out the shipment of ammunition restrictions in California that only restricts loaded ammunition. Here’s a link to that that you can copy and paste into the order. I figure if they get a few orders with that they’ll chill out. https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?lawCode=PEN§ionNum=30312

I also asked about .257 loads and they aren’t working on any at the time as they just released 7mm and it sounds like R&D is pretty strenuous for them to come to market.

From DRT:
Currently, tungsten supply is the biggest issue. When the tariffs went into place, Tungsten shipments stopped from the Far East. So anything that was left in the states became 10X more valuable. We have no supplier, this is why tungsten shot and other products were all shut down.

Whatever tungsten based bullets I have in stock are all that will be available until this is over. The 6mm 107 gr bullet is not going to be made until then.
