Looking for the cleanest, best way to add a drop chart to the buttstock of your rifle without taping it to it.

How are y’all attaching it to the rifle?

Black decals from local print shop. Sig kilo 6k gives live but this for backup. Shipping tape over top to protect it from some wear. The decal peels off pretty easy. For sheep hunts I have a 7500’ sheet of decals I’d just slap one over top then peel off when back to normal elevations where most time spent. This one matched to the half mil hashes of dmx reticle past my zero. Wind at 6mph(10 kmh) although we do wind up here in kmh. So base 10 math done from 10 kmh base. Reticle allows some ranging ability to 18” buck torso so that column added as well. The red line is last line above 1600 fps.

Hope that gives some ideas. Not the cheapest way to do it, just one guys interpretation.

Thanks for posting Plebe!

Thanks for posting what the numbers meant. That looks pretty slick. I’ll have to fool around with some data sets and see exactly what I want/need on the card.

This definitely gives me something to think about.

No prob, others likely have some good ideas on setting up the views they want.

Don’t forget screen shot idea and save to lock screen etc. I think I heard that one on one of form fridays. That’s a pretty good idea. Could just run the calculator ahead of time and screen shot.

Back ups on back ups. I usually keep phone in main pant pocket so it stays warm enough to work when needed but decals or cards are battery free. If I forget my readers in event that data is needed as long as something with a camera works I can take a pic of it on the stock and zoom that. Or holld rifle as far away from my face as possible likely work. Fudd style.

I do tend to study that readily available data on the gun as I hunt to try and memorize things on the fly just in case. Easy to forget stuff between all the 365 days a year fishing and hunting seasons so I do like hard copy on gun. More reason to look at your gun. 😉

Nothing. Could easily print cutout and shipping tape it on. Which I do on my budget rigs. The new NF wearing Sako 90 peak gets a little more love. Doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb in black with white digits. Masking tape and sharpie works too lol. So many options, post yours. That’s what the thread is about.

I do keep a screenshot of my shooter’s app in my photos. I pull it up and have it ready at every sit. I guess I was thinking that a card of some sort would be better. Maybe it’s not. 🤷‍♂️

Maybe doesn’t get cold enough where you hunt? Been on plenty, before phones and phones that if digi cam (pre phone) and then phone times that if it’s not close to skin it’s not gonna turn on and when you do ...you have limited time before it shuts off and you gotta get it warm again to work. Do what works for you, rely on whatever makes sense to rely on for you.
