Drew the Desert Bighorn sheep tag Dec 4-31st in 22. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. I haven’t hunted this unit before but live in Phoenix. So just processing everything and researching to give myself the best possible chance. Thank you in advance. Means a lot.

Congratulations on a great tag. Might be an interesting year as access should be more limited with the draining of Canyon Lake based on what the sources say. Likely going to be more boot time to be successful. Good luck. Most of us are going to be envious.

yeah that hunts going to be a real sheep hunt since they lake closure. hope youre ready to backpack hunt it! ive hunted it a few times, going to be interesting for sure. some real great rams in there as of last season.

Thanks. Yeah I have been reading that so just gonna do a lot of scouting and hope for the best. Plan on backpacking in a bunch. I can’t afford a guide so just gonna put in the work.
