I used Toprut for years and it wasn’t perfect but it worked for me. The state of New Mexico is the “red haired, freckle faced stepchild” of the Western Hunting World where Outfitters are handed the vast majority of big game tags. Therefore not very many tags get into the public draw. Residents are seldom drawn for tags simply because the draw odds are extremely low based on very few tags in the draw to begin with. The “fly by night” Fish and Game Dept. is supported by an anti-hunting State Legislature and Governor. The existing draw odds apps for the most part are quite inaccurate for New Mexico simply because information is either not collected, or when the data does exist, is not disseminated to the public in some cases. I am not trying to get into a political joust just putting out the facts.
Obviously if i want to hunt every year, I need to start putting in for other states. My question is, is there any simple tabular type draw odds apps out there that have good searches and are accurate? OnX Research tools, Huntin’ Fool and GoHunt are not under my consideration. Colorado, Wyoming and Montana are my primary concerns. I just want to hunt.
