Downgrading from a DSLR...need camera advice.

I've been in kind of the same boat for a couple of years as well. Sold my big Canon dslr a couple years ago and have been putting off getting something new as I haven't found 'the one' yet and instead have been using a crappy point and shoot. That cost me last year when I drew a sheep tag but thankfully a couple buddies had good cameras along on the hunt.

After some recent research, I've been thinking more and more about either a Sony NEX-5T or an A5100. Both seem like they'd be great units to pack along this summer and on my Arizona archery elk hunt this fall.

Currently researching some of the Sony NEX cameras. If I sold my 60D and lenses, I'd be taking a hit. Maybe I should just keep it and break it out on photo specific trips where weight and bulk aren't a factor since it seems finding a replacement is such a hard decision for me. I was really hoping to use the money from the sale to fund the replacement though. This shouldn't be that hard damn it!

You will regret dumping the full frame, I'd keep I if I were you. I personally love the Oly TG3. I've beat the SHIT out of it and it takes great photos for a point and shoot. It's not a full frame so don't except it to be but I was constantly worried about my dslr when I packed it and it ended up being a pack queen. I take a lot more photos now then I ever did because the TG3 is always In my belt pouch. I've got no experience with the sonys.
