Down jacket

Not knocking ST52v for finding the deal. Just thought the review was humorous
From the single review on the REI site: "Description is incorrect, hand pockets do not have zippers. Does anyone check the descriptions for accuracy. On the manufacturer's site, multiple reviewers have mentioned the missing zippers, yet the error persists. Jacket also smells of dirty down. I've run over the jacket with a truck just to make sure the ducks are dead. Would recommend this product to a stranger"

Everyone has different needs and budgets. Not everyone can afford $200 + jackets that might not even get used on their 7-10 day hunt once a year!! A treated down jacket for around $75 to have in your pack as an insulation layer just in case could be nice!!!

No dog in this fight, but the REI outlet site does not carry the reviews from before the products were moved to the outlet. Sometimes a Google search will get you to the old page from the main REI site where you can see many more reviews.

Please don't take my above post as negative, I just wanted to capture the humorous review posted.
I agree this is a good deal for folks looking for a down jacket.

Better yet, here is what I'll assume is a great jacket for a great price. Lots of good things said about Borah gear. I just ordered the jacket and a bivy.

Light as heck, great down and made in America. Maybe doesn't have all the bells and whistles but I'd guess this is exactly what most of us need. Especially ounce counters which I am guilty of.

Sale ends tomorrow though, so don't dilly dally. :)
