Besides playing the wind to your favor, do your clothes absorb an odor after a few days? I generally bring a few different options for clothing, especially the single base layer I might be wearing the majority of the time I am sweating.

Do your clothes not stink after 3-4 days of hiking and sweating?

I am sure they do, but I rarely can tell. I am sure an animal can smell be a mile away though. But that would be the case if I had new base layers for everyday or not.

I try not to bring anything wet other than damp base layers in my down bags. My hiking pants can be wet as I put them on the morning as with my socks but I want my base layer to be dry. I wetted out down bag one trip trying to dry out too much stuff on a VERY wet goat hunt. In my synthetic bag I just toss it all in there without care ;)

Yup, true essence of funk. :D I learned the very first sheep hunt I went on that I packed too many clothes. And I packed em 25 miles one way into the mtns. 1st and last there.

A guy can splash off in a stream and I've "washed" base layer before. If a guy can "wash" with no soap :D
