You sir need to look yourself in the mirror more often....

LOL! I'm a realist, I agree with Shrek's opinion (SSS), and Moose from Australia gets what I'm saying. If you go talk to the neighbor and the problem is corrected then great, everyone is happy. But if I had to make a bet and didn't want to lose my money, I'd bet that talking to the neighbor would result in a temporary change at best, and then you'd see the offending dog back to his old ways. So now if I exterminate the dog, the neighbor now suspects me and we have a perfect opportunity for a bad relationship based on the fact that I had previously talked to them about their dog who has mysteriously gone missing. So to avoid all of the drama and in an attempt to maintain an amicable relationship with my neighbor, I'll just SSS. Problem solved, no bad blood between neighbors.

No your spineless for first not having the balls to go and talk with the owner, at least giving the animal a chance. The fact that you use the word "suspect" and don't want your neighbor to find out about your actions should be a clear red flag. Your afraid of the consequences your actions may bring.

So what if the neighbor asks about their dog? Would you lie? Judging by your first few posts obviously. I have more respect for the guy who drove the dog back to the property and dropped It off then I ever could for your actions. Why are you afraid of people finding out about your actions? Why are you not willing to openly take responsibility for your actions?

I glad you thought this thread would spin out of control and then use all your efforts to make it so. The dogs owner has a responsibility not only to his neighbors but certainly to his dog. Each situation has multiple options and yes you have to answer to yourself at the end of the day. I love my dog and that's why that responsibility to the highest level.

Should have taken my own advice. I'll get out of this one.

Well guys,

It sure is awesome that Roksliders feel they can get advice from each other on all sorts of topics!

While Rokslide is a great place for a wide variety of topics, this thread has devolved and really doesn't have much to do with backcountry hunting anyway.

Check out some of the other topics and great hunting info!
