Does the OG 6.5 fit over the new 22” threaded tikkas?

Sorry if this has been answered. Tried searching but couldn’t find anything. Don’t have calipers and haven’t found definitive OD dims on the new tikkas. Just bought a 22” threaded t3x lite stainless in 6.5 prc. Thanks!

Lites and Superlites are D16 profile, so 16mm at the muzzle (easily fits).

Right. Does that include the newer barrels that are thicker at the muzzle end? OG specs say .750 which isn’t a ton of wiggle room to my eye

What about the older D18 profiles? I have a roughtech Specter 20” 6.5cm I am looking to get an OG 6.5 on.

I know its a little different than your exact barrel but I have a new 223 20” lite barrel thats factory flared and threaded 5/8-24 and an og65 fits it just fine. I suspect that any “lite” contour thats threaded 5/8 will be similar in dimensions regardless of length or caliber.

Tikka 7 rem mag 22” with the flared muzzle measures .725 diameter.

Out of curiosity I measured my tikka when I got home, 0.725 at the thread shoulder.

Just for fun I measured my 6.5-06 with a custom contour, it measures 0.750 at the shoulder and 0.805 4” back, very little clearance on that one but it tightens up on the shoulder correctly so there must be enough.

.790 and .830 so no issue if you’re under that
