Does the Marsupial No-Mag Harness "break-in"?

I just got the Marsupial no-mag bino harness and I'm pretty concerned with how tight the closure is. Can I operate the lid with one hand? Yes. Can I actually take my binos in and out of the pouch with one-hand? Definitely not. The closure is so tight that it seems to crush the pouch/box back on itself and pinch the binos in the case so that I need to use one hand to open the pocket and the other to remove the binos. This is with a pair of 10x42 ELs so not particularly large binos (and they don't currently have the tripod adapter I usually run on them, so I would expect them to be even tighter with that).

For guys that have the no-mag version, does the case and elastic break-in to where it's truly one-hand operational and if yes, how long did that take? Right now, I'm highly contemplating returning for the magnetic version despite initially wanting to avoid magnets.

It feels way too tight at first, but it does break in. After a couple weeks mine loosened up enough to run one-handed with 10x42s. If you want instant easy access, magnets are quicker, but the no-mag gets smoother with use.

In all the marsupial cases I have, I’ve wrapped the binos in a light foam sheet that came in a box or something and left them in for a week or so and it’s 1000% better you could use paper, towel, or bubble wrap or anything like that,

It took mine a whole season to get worn in. I called and talked to CS and they recommended I wrap it in something but I dont recall what it was.
