Does anyone know if the maven rs 1.2 that passed the drop test is the same scope in moa?

Looking at picking up a new scope and eyeing up the maven that passed the drop
Test recently and wondering if the FFP MOA is the same scope as the MIL scope that passed?

Yes only the reticle is different. I do not believe the MOA was dropped tested, however, I could not imagine the reticle making a difference.

I recall reading that the “rest of the guts” were the same.

Don’t buy it. The reticle is nearly invisible under about 5X. And even cranked up, the floating dot is teeny tiny, and the illumination is terrible.

The mil reticle is usable, the moa is not. Huge fail by Maven, imo. All they had to do was keep stadia dimensions the same.

If I remember the reviews correctly, Maven didn’t appear to understand why Form (and others) loved that particular Maven scope so much.

That’s a huge bummer, I was hoping I found a usable FFP scope for hunting

The Trijicon Tenmile is FFP and comes in MOA. It has good reviews here. I’ve been trying on out at the range and soon in the field.

How do you find the reticle? Think it’ll be usable in dark timber ?

How is the reticle in dark bush?

I’ll be real I’ve had it for about a month I’ll take it to my cabin next month and see what it’s like in dark timber and dusk. I’m a tad worried about the 36mm objective…

Where did you find the specs for the scope reticles? All I can find is the distance from the sub tensions

Is there a reason why you don’t want the mil version? I am not aware of any FFP scope in MOA with a usable reticle.

Honestly I just grew up and was taught in moa, mil seems foreign to me.

Did you get a MIL version? Seems like you wanted the Moa also?

The Tenmile HX in MOA is fine, works as it should, and if you dial distance it doesn't matter what the elevation sub tensions are except maybe at the range when sighting in. Haven't had mine in "dark brush" so I can't speak to that. I use it at 15x to 22x when hunting.

I’ve owned both. Didn’t love either but the mil reticle is much better.

On both, I don’t like the floating dot and the illumination is poorly executed.

The MOA one is barely usable due to the reticle.

And ultimately the company just seems rather clueless. I don’t think they understand their consumer. I’ve called the CS twice and gotten incorrect information.
