does a "do all" tent and sleeping pad exist?

I've now accumulated a mountainsmith mountain shelter LT (actually x2 if anyone is interested in one), an MSR Hubba Hubba 2 person, and a Springbar Classic Jack 10x10.

For sleeping pads I've got a few single pads, a couple of Klymit doubles, and 2 of the Thermarest Mondoking XL size (30x80).

Typically it's just been the daughter and I car camping for a night or two and this is where I struggle. The Springbar is fantastic, but it takes up a TON of space in the truck - too much to justify for a couple nights in nice weather. I've also found the canvas tent is GUARANTEED to get rained on which requires setting up/washing/drying once home. The MSR is great too, but then we're stuck on the Klymits as the Thermarests don't fit. The Klymits aren't terrible, but they don't compare the Mondokings. The Mondokings are also way to big and bulky for packing/canoeing in.

I was pretty seriously considering picking up an REI half dome 3 over the 4th sale (was 25% off) or maybe even springing for a copper spur 3 XL, but I'm sick of accumulating and storing tents/pads for special uses.

Was debating selling the Springbar, but I know if I do that, I'll end up on some trip with the dog or the wife will decide she wants to come and we'll be out of room in anything else again.

Does anyone have a system nailed down that does everything well, or is this just normal camping accumulation?

Sounds like normal accumulation to me, but I'm aware that I have a problem 😅. As they say: he who dies with the most wins.

You coming out my way this year? Id be interested in the Mountain Shelter.

Im in need of a new sleeping pad. Ive been rocking a Nemo Tensor field pad for 8 years straight. It doesnt work for me anymore as my hips are not what they used to be.. I think I need a thicker pad, as I dont have issues with my hips at home sleeping in my bed.

What about some type of Tipi setup?
