Do you wear a bino harness in tree stand?

I’ve never wore a bino harness while whitetail hunting, and actually only used one while I was on a muley hunt couple yrs ago.
I normally just keep binos in my pack.

Do you wear a bino harness while in a stand? I figure with the safety harness and adding a jacket occasionally it would b a pain.

Nope, but I do have a range finder attached. I sometimes bring binos in a pack depending on the view from the stand

Yes. I’ll wear my Marsupial harness opened for quick access to my binos. Also have my RF opened or around my neck using a lanyard.

I glass frequently to help determine deer movement, rubs, scrapes etc where I cannot immediately see them. This has helped me locate deer before they come closer, adjust my setup for future hunts because I may be off the “X” by 50-150-300 yards etc…

Where I hunt it’s extremely thick. You aren’t going to see much with just your eyes, I can use binos to look through branches, leaves etc and catch movement.

Not typically. Just wear a 6X rangefinder with lanyard around neck. My preference to this point. Binoculars are top of pack next to me hanging on a hook for easy access.

Absolutely not. Can’t stand those things in a stand or on a turkey hunt. I hang my binos and rangefinder on a hook in a stand. That way they’re easy to get to and completely out of the way.

For turkey hunting, I prefer my binos to be in the inside pocket of my vest on the left hand side.

I wear a bino harness with a rangefinder pouch attached. I like having everything nice and tight and close. I also have Binos that are on the pricey side for my budget that I like to keep protected.

I wear one just to keep everything right in reach. I keep it ready to go the same all the time and do not have to look for what I am trying to grab for. I will keep it in pack and through it on if I am putting layers on in the stand.

If I could find one of the old Primos bow vests I would use that instead. But those have gone the way of the Dodo bird seems like.

I just wear my binos on a strap harness, no enclosed case while in the stand. Don't need the bulkiness of the case and the straps keep my binos handy for glassing.

Yes. Compact binos and homemade chest harness because no company makes a harness for my small binos, and I want a covered case b/c I am in snow and wet brush a lot. I dislike the bulk of my larger binos when climbing a tree (i pretty much 100% hang and hunt). Id love to find a better solution, but so far I havent. Long cut above covered a lot of my thoughts. A lot of times I use my Bino’s after I’ve seen a deer, but before I’ve identified what it is in the brush. This usually lets me know whether it’s a shooter or not well before it comes into range, and then I’m already prepared, I have already ranged, already have a plan for when I’m going to draw, etc. To me, it’s a critical piece of equipment for my bow hunting from a stand, I would not go without, even though I really don’t like them on my chest. I will sometimes take the harness off, add a layer, and put it back on at the base of a tree. If I add a layer after I’m already up in the stand for a while, I usually just zip it up over the Bino harness and leave it unzipped a little so I can still access binos.

I use a saddle or a climbing harness style harness, so there is zero interference with a safety harness.

If I’m sitting in a stand overlooking a field I will wear my harness sometimes so I can see a buck that may have come out to feed a ways off. Otherwise my rangefinder is all I need for archery situations and binos are just extra crap to carry. Plus having binos makes me move a lot more because I get bored and pull them out for every squirrel or woodpecker

I wear my bino harness in the treestand. 10x42 w/ Sig rangefinder in SG harness. Set up never changes. I wear it for everything. Tree stand, turkey blind, turkey run and gun, archery small game, out west, and off season hiking. I always have it on.

Just use a range finder tethered to a pocket/harness for tree stand hunting. Bino harness is too bulky and just adds potential for extra noise. It also adds extra movement if you are using them.

Binos go literally everywhere i go in the woods so that would include a stand. I am constantly picking them up to check out this or that. They are almost an extension of me at this point.

But i use those shock cord type harnesses. Very low profile and unobtrusive but holds the binos tight to my chest cause i can’t stand them swinging around from my neck all sloppy.

I do. But what passes for winter here means fairly thin layers. I basically wear the bino harness everywhere hunting.
