Do you use the QR buckles on the top of your bino harness?
On most harness they have two on top and on each side. Almost every one I have ever seen only use the ones on the side to take off or put on the harness. Marsupial gear, outdoor vision, Alaska guide creations, and muley freak all have the quick release on all four sides. Where as FHF gear and mystery ranch just use a three bar slider to adjust the ride height of the harness.
So I am just wondering is there any benefit to having them all be QR?

I'm the same as manitou
Just easier to get on and off I guess. Especially when wearing something with a hood.

I didn't double check but on the AGC I think the purpose is to remove the harness completely and attach directly to pack straps somehow. I know that Hill People Gear does that with their Kit Bags. I would assume the other brands serve a similar purpose. That being said, I typically only unhook one of the bottom sides to put my AGC on.

I don't use them. Like many others here, I have modified my marsupial and removed the bulky side release buckles from the top and left side and replaced them with ladderlocs. Only one that unbuckles is the right side.

At first I thought your were asking about the little straps and side release buckles that connect your binos to the harness, which I also find myself never using, and my buddy with an Alps harness (FHF copy) doesn't use his either. Binos go into the pouch, but don't mess with the buckles at all... in fact, we both lost one of the little straps on the binos on our last hunt, but I'm not even sure if I'll replace it...

I use the top two to run small lanyards to my rangefinder and gps. Nice peace of mind that those two expensive pieces of equipment don’t get accidentally left behind in the chase.

I use those little buckles to the binos quite often on my AGC harness,They can be used to disconnect and put my binos on a tripod or if I’m cruising around I take them out of the pouch and put them on my seat .

I use G Hooks and added loops to the inside. I can wear it with either the lid covering or tucked behind against my chest

I too only unhook one of the bottoms on my ACG for on/off, but I also switched all of them out to autolocks to keep the harness from working loose from my chest. Especially after riding ATV over rough ground.

I have the Kuiu version....and do use the buckles to swap back and forth from my 10x swaros to my 8x EDG's.

The buckles are small, no weight, no rubbing...no disadvantage I can see.

Right, but what I'm saying is that I find myself not even clipping them. My binos ride in my pouch unclipped and then I don't have to mess with unclipping them when I want to put them on the tripod.

Ok I misread it then. I do the same on occasion but if I’m in timber or not in a good long term glassing spot I like to have them clipped in case something jumps up close.
