Now just stashed in the pickup..I'm not comfortable having one chambered when I'm not in control of it.

My truck Glock has a loaded mag, but I don't keep one in the chamber.

On me, they are always loaded with one in the chamber.

All but one of my pistols is always loaded and in a holster when not in use... don't follow me for gun safety advice
But it's perfectly safe left in the holster.
