Do rangefinders get along with magnets?

Do the rangefinder pouches (and the bino harness) with magnets, mess with the angle compensation and/or accurately drop pins in mapping software?
Rangefinder examples are the Sig Sauer KILO3K and Leupold RX-5000.

Many golf rangefinders with slope have magnets attached to attach them to the golf cart.

I asked leica and zeiss, both said no. I had the same concern with the magnets messing with the electronlcs. I went with the FHF bino harness anyway no magnets. Did not want to risk it.

if your rangefinder takes slope or has compass, hell no, magnets = bad
