Talking with guys in the industry lately that work with them, they’re basically scrambling to exist. Pre covid aero was decent, post covid aero is awful.

Just received my solus that I ordered early December. Glad I waited since I got it on sale and the finished product is quite nice. The wait time was obnoxious but at least the end product was good quality. I hope they can right the ship.

I ordered a Solus from a third party. I’m excited to get it. What’s your first impressions?

Don’t have any rounds through it but the build quality and machining looked and felt great. Bolt is similar in terms of smoothness to my tikka CTR bolt. I have a NSS 223 1-7 match going on it and a KRG bravo on the way so I will know more then.

Am I correct that it is built for magazines rather then a hinged floor plate?

Yes it has no integral feed ramps so it is mag fed only. It accepts AICS or AW style mags.

4 months isn’t bad at all. I waited 13 for my first Defiance.

The difference is that the solus was “in stock shipping now” with an estimated ship time of 5-7 business days. I’d think defiance was a bit more straight forward but I haven’t ordered from them yet.

Yeah it is, I reached out to every email, phone number, support chat, etc I could find at least ten times each and I didn’t get a response until a week before it shipped. Only reason I didn’t cancel is I got it for 600.

Sad to hear. I bought several AP items (pieces, parts) probably 15 years ago. The products were great and customer service superb. Shipping was reprehensible! ....but I believe it was beyond their control.
I live in OK.
Delivery from AP normally took almost 2 weeks after it traveled all over Washington state, California, Utah, Colorado......
Delivery from PSA in South Carolina took all of a week. Columbia, Houston, Dallas, OKC!
Finally found Primary Arms down at Pearland, Texas! I've ordered from them early morning and had the product the next afternoon! Never over 2 or 3 days!
Anderson out of Hebron, KY usually took 3 to 5 days.

Hopefully, AP will recover. Out on the "Left Coast", it's gotta be tough on a gun parts outfit! Good luck guys!
