I’ve seen several comments on this in passing, but my question is:

I recently acquired a Howa mini, and would like to build up a vertical grip on the factory stock. I did this on another gun that I have with OK results, but it wasn’t great, and the epoxy putty that I used did not keep shape at all and I had to babysit it for nearly 3 hours while it set up. Is there a better medium, or alternative method that anybody is using?
I may end up getting a Stocky’s VG, or Rokstock Lite sometime in the future, but the budget will not allow it anytime soon.

Thanks in advance!

Nephew built one up with a bondo like material. He loved the stock, not the grip angle.

Might have been bondo actually, in layers, then sanded in smooth, painted, and added some marine-tex for grippy feels. Will try to get pics.

I trimmed the tikka vert grip until it fit snug. Then plastic epoxied it to the stock. One screw in the base, zip tied until cured. Click on post to see the other pictures

I guess it could be a Rokslide 96 because of the tikka grip :)

Believe the stock is 33oz as shown. Ergonomically liking the grip and butt pad as much as a Bravo stock, and carries in the hand much better than one

Tikka grip trimmed and epoxied in. Butt is altered with pine 1x2, Krazy Glue, and Tikka Limbsaver. Pic rail is an extra I had laying around.
