You can do a simple square pyramid easily like the DIY tut xl on another thread. Similar to this variation I made off a solomid style. Just scale to your size and the panels are just right angle triangles sewn together.

I made this tepee a couple years ago and it has been awesome. For anyone wanting to take on the task of building their own tepee know that you are going to spend a considerable amount of time to build a bigger tent. Trying to manage all that material is tough. I knew nothing about sewing before this and used my wifes $100 sewing machine. This tent has held up to snow, high winds and some pretty rough back country conditions. I used the HyperD PU 4000 material by ripstop by the roll.
