After spending 8 hours on a hard, cold piece of granite yesterday, I swore at myself for not putting this together sooner. I know they sell them, and I know they are fairly inexpensive, but I had the stuff laying around. Besides, the crooked seams and lopsided corners will remind me that I don't know how to sew.

Items needed?

An old, beat up sleeping pad, about 12" X 24" of fabric, and some strapping.

All I did was sew a couple edges so the fabric looked like a pillow case. I tripped the foam mat to fit in snuggly. After that, I folded the ends in and sewed it shut. Lastly, sew on the straps and hook it to the pack. Viola. A cure for cold granite.

3 ounces with the clips.
