Fellas,
Thought I would post up a few pics of the recent shelter I built (well it's 99% completed, I still have 4 tie outs to attach). Very basic 4-sided pyramid shelter pitched with a single trekking pole in the middle. It was a first-of-it's-kind project for me. I would say I'm about a 8/10 on the happiness scale on how it turned out. I've slept 5 nights in it so far with the only issue being at times it can be a little tricky to get a tight pitch along all four corners.
The tent is constructed from 0.51 oz Dyneema. It is fully taped (minimal sewing) besides where I ran one row of stitching down each side of the zipper. Total weight including 16 stakes and 50' of guy line comes in just shy of 16 oz.
Suppliers I used included:
-Rip Stop By The Roll
-Bear Pawds
-Zpacks
