Anyone ever make their own pack bag. Where is the best place for materials?

I am going to experiment with making a bag/panel for hauling my pop up blind on my duplex frame.

pyroducks just made a copy of a K cargo panel i believe, doubled as a seat, pretty sweet!

I made the cargo panel/seat that ftf is referring to, and purchased my 500d cordura off of ebay. I'm thinking about building a pack bag or two myself, just not as high on my list of priorities as the tent I need to sew. LOTS of variety for cordura on ebay in both 500d and 1000d, as well as webbing, buckles, etc. Below, I've included some links to websites that also sell these materials.

What about meat bags? They are so simple they would be easy to sew. What material would be best? I love my Tag bags but I bet if I found a similar fabric I could have a bunch more.

Call me cheap!

I wouldn't call you cheap. I know exactly what you mean, that's why I made the stuff sacks for mine and my daughter's puffy coats, I looked at the stuff sack for my son's coat, and knew I could make them easily.

As far as meat bags, you could make them out of anything, from lightweight linen type material to heavier canvas, to sil-nylon (lightweight, but wouldn't breathe).

Thanks for the tips and links.

I have a cargo panel but it doesn't carry the blind real well. I am thinking about a bawing style with maybe a grab it style bottom.
