I enjoyed the video. I do not know anything about shooting long distance, hell I barely know enough about shooting in general. Is it common to take a couple practice dry fire shots after getting setup?

Not as common as it should be. It's calms me down and is damn good practice.

I agree 100% with Ryan Avery! Dry Firing helps you get the feel of the trigger right before you send a live round and it is very calming! Ryan I filmed it with the Canon HFS200.
