I have been kicking the idea of making a wood Rokstock. After shooting my wood stock Mark V, I decided that the plastic tikka stock needed to go. I started out with a mesa stock as a basic template for the wood duplicator. I used forms and spray foam to make it more like a Rokstock. This is my first stock build ever and I don’t have an actual Rokstock so I’m just going off pictures for the design.

The inletting is okay but there was much to be left desired. This was my first job with the duplicator, so I had a few oops along the way

I also just started my first ever stock build.
Ide love to have Mike build me a rokstock lite but I can’t warrant the 2k. Figured how hard could it be 😂
This is my first attempt with some scrap wood from work, just using some basic power tools. Waiting on a bedding kit a recoil pad. Stain/finish
Picked up a little walnut, already scheming on round 2.
Anyway if you dig deep enough in the rokstock/rokstock lite forum. You’ll find all the dimensions you need to get you close

I am getting pretty close. I’ll hopefully get to bedding the actions tomorrow. I would be curious to see how close my is to the real thing. IMG_3993.jpeg

Haha I would love to have one of his someday. Same here already thinking of doing the lite version next. This one is going to be around 36oz

I like the stippling, I think you’re pretty dang close to the real thing. on this one I’ll do some ground up walnut shell or somethin in the clear coat for a little texture on the grip/forend/lower buttstock I’m trying to sell some gear to warrant buyin a set of tools to learn how to do some checkering. I might have a bad habit of over committing to hobby’s.
I haven’t weighed mine yet, the scrap wood I used was 1”x6” rift sawn white oak, which isn’t really great for stocks to begin with, but also particularly heavy. Ide prefer to end up around 30-35oz anyway. We’ll see. It’s all just a practice run anyway.
Ide like to see your project all wrapped up.
