Looks great. Did you use a jack for the mechanism or build from parts?

Thanks! I just used the handle off of one of my old boat winches and welded it to some 3/4” threaded rod. Welded a plate with a nut to the end of the inner tube. Works well.

Standard threaded rod or acme rod?

I don't think you will have an issue. Speed would be the biggest benefit of acme probably. The amount of force applied to work on a bow is negligible.

Nice work! What did you use to cut out the four fingers that contact the bow?
I was a month into waiting on a quote to get them laser cut but heard nothing back, so I just bought some .5” stock and hit them with a zip cut and a hack saw. Took a few hours but it worked out.

It is a solid setup and very affordable. Maybe a touch slower to operate than a real press. And you can fix your bike with it too!
I have an issue with the cable of my bow master press rubbing against the rest on my bow? Do you have this issue?

I made a press too and used some all thread that was a 3/4-16. I ended up buying some acme threaded rod just for ease of use. But I was tinkering with a new bow quite a bit at that time too.
