Grinder and some paint make a welder what he ain’t.
Thanks! I just used the handle off of one of my old boat winches and welded it to some 3/4” threaded rod. Welded a plate with a nut to the end of the inner tube. Works well.Looks great. Did you use a jack for the mechanism or build from parts?

Only using standard. I may switch over if I feel things getting sloppy. I’m not too concerned at the moment though.Standard threaded rod or acme rod?

I was a month into waiting on a quote to get them laser cut but heard nothing back, so I just bought some .5” stock and hit them with a zip cut and a hack saw. Took a few hours but it worked out.Nice work! What did you use to cut out the four fingers that contact the bow?
Good call on the bike stand. The Bow Master is definitely a good tool to have. Here is my version of a pseudo diy bowpress. Helps that I bike so I had the stand.
I once heard it said - "I can't weld, but I can grind..."Grinder and some paint make a welder what he ain’t.
It is a solid setup and very affordable. Maybe a touch slower to operate than a real press. And you can fix your bike with it too!Good call on the bike stand. The Bow Master is definitely a good tool to have.
I have an issue with the cable of my bow master press rubbing against the rest on my bow? Do you have this issue? It is a solid setup and very affordable. Maybe a touch slower to operate than a real press. And you can fix your bike with it too!
