Bought some commercial made biltong. Texture is great, but didn’t care for the flavor. I have a good bit of elk venison left from last year, time to put it to use. Premade Biltong boxes look to run about $150, couple clicks on amazon and I’m in business for around $50.

Let’s see some recipes! Jerky recipes should be adaptable as well.

Here's my box just a cheap tote and some dowels from the hardware store, a computer fan and hooks from Amazon I think I'm about $50 into it

Big tote box and large batches is the way to go once you nail down a recipe. It freezes really well in vac bags, can’t tell the difference from fresh (I’ve only done it with lean venison though so fatty beef might get weird, don’t know). I caved and picked up a biltong slicer two years ago, wish I had done it earlier.

Winged it w this stuff, sugar, garlic powder, black powder for the dry rub.
