A good portion of this happened within 20-30 miles of where I live. There is a strong opposition to authority in some of the rural communities here and I highly doubt these individuals are the only ones participating in large scale poaching. I hope they throw the book at them and then some. I am not necessarily in agreement with banning hunting bears or cougars with dogs and we do have a problem with over population here, but this is the wrong way to go about fixing it. Poaching just furthers the cause of the anti's and will lead to very negative public views of hunting and hunters, especially when this close to major metro hubs like Portland and Seattle.
