So I've set up notifications for stock of H4895 for many years now. I just got a notification this morning from Midway that it is discontinued. I thought I saw somewhere that IMR 4895 was also discontinued. Any truth to this? I spent a ton of time and money developing loads around that powder. It would be a shame if its no longer available.

Considering that it is in stock at Hodgdon's online store, I doubt that Midway is correct. They have a habit of labeling something as "Discontinued" when what they really mean is that the packaging or pricing has changed.

Hodgdon didn't produce any H4895 for a long time as ADI was retoolin or doing something over there in OZ. A lot has hit the shelves in the last few months though. Bought as much as I could stomach at current $60/# prices a little while ago.

Crazy. I got 7lbs of it back in like 2019, used a bit but then it just disappeared. I still have 6lbs of it. If it’s available I’ll start using it again. I also recently saw imr 4350 but it was 80.00/lb

H4895 is one of their best selling powders this crazy on their end. I also received an email from Midway about this, I sure hope it's wrong.

ADI, the manufacturer of H4895, had to reconfigure some of it's powders to comply with EU regulations and that is why it wasn't produced for a long time. It's possible that there is a different SKU for the new H4895 formulation and thus Midway's notice. There was no obvious labeling difference on the new bottles i purchased this spring.

Friend of mine had midway notifications for a bunch of stuff turned on from back during covid. This last week he got multiple emails saying stuff was discontinued and it was all stuff that is definitely not discontinued, cci 250, fed 210, h1000 8# jugs and others. They definitely have something going on with their system

Midway seems to do that pretty commonly with items that go on backorder or unavailable too long. But I've seen them do that multiple times now - at this point, I only interpret it as "we've discontinued carrying it", rather than it having been discontinued from the manufacturer, until proven otherwise.
