Thinking of getting one of those disc-o-bed cot to use at elk camp. Has anyone used one before? Are they built well?

heavy and a little annoying to set up/take down. Once up, it's a darn comfortable place to sleep.

Very well made and sturdy. Shocking how heavy they are. I got the bunk bed style to save floor space in our Big Horn 3. But, they are overkill for most applications and a pain to put together.

I think they would work well in something like a wall tent with vertical walls. I had grand visions of setting one up for camping in my ice fishing pop up and save a lot of floor space. I set it up and found I had to move it closer to the center in order for the top if it to fit, which actually took up more space. They also weigh a freaking ton.

I have two sets. As other said they are comfortable and great for saving floor space but they are HEAVY and a PITA to set up.

I have a Cabela's Alaknak tent and wonder if the side wall is tall enough to use it as a bunk bed?

We had the bunk version in an Alaknak and it worked well. It was the 12X20 model.

I have used them in a wall tent, in my 7'x14' cargo trailer and in my springbar tent. They are comfortable. Like other have said, they are heavy.
