I have the Ollin adapter on my iPhone 15. Works great but when I zoom in using my iPhone, it will often switch to a different camera lens and go completely black. Is there a way to avoid this or do I just need to zoom in with this spotting scope only?

Download the magview app. It locks the camera for you. Its free

I use the ProMovie app - it’s free but leaves a watermark in the corner. I think it was $1.99 to remove it.

This is the only gripe I have about the Ollin system. It basically makes your phone useless for taking videos when you are hunting and not on the spotting scope. I like to take videos and zoom in and out and it always goes black and will not focus.

Bumping a 10 month old thread that has multiple solutions provided to make the same complaint as the OP is a total FNG move.
