I was hunting Coues deer and javelina over Christmas and tested out my now digiscoping system. After years of fiddling with home made stuff I decided to try a Phoneskope with my new IPhone 6+. I am SO happy.

Since we were not backpacking I brought extra optics which I thought would work well. 8x32 Ultravids to wear, and 10-15 Duovids with a Zeiss 62mm spotter to run on the tripod.

I like this little clip, it shows how the Phoneskope sets on the spotter. The buck is not visible to the naked eye, I'd guess 1000 yards.

Pic to text the friends at home. Not looking for B&C bucks with the longbows :-)

The Phoneskope lets you use the iPhone zoom as well as the spotter zoom. I got tired of looking for javelina one day and grabbed these pics of an observatory 19 miles away:

Phone zoomed out spotter 15x

Phone zoomed in spotter 15x

Phone zoomed out spotter 30x

Phone zoomed out spotter 45x

Not yet,I need to measure up my Victorys and the Duovids and see if I can get by with one extra adapter.

I did get some other good footage (imo). Again, you could not see this coyote with the naked eye:

Those pics look great.

I shot some last week with the Swaro system paired with an Olympus EM-5 and was shocked at the clarity at 50x. I'll have a review up this spring on it.

10-4--the 19 mile pics were mid day so I had a bit of mirage to deal with.

I wanted to set something up with a DSLR but I think I am happy enough with the 6+ I won't need to lug around all that extra weight.

This one I am most proud of. I am guessing we were 1200 yards. I have video of this buck falling asleep as well.

It is much thicker up there than it looks on the video. I may have been more excited than my buddy who was 15 yards away from him. I really thought I was going to get the WHOLE Coues longbow spot, stalk, and kill recorded thru my spotter. Next time!
