Difference between Sitka Dewpoint and Cloudburst? (Rain gear recommendations please)

Looking at buying some rain gear for next spring (never seems to fail, I ALWAYS need rain gear while turkey hunting), so I'm doing my research now.

Doesnt have to be super light and packable, although that probably would be a nice feature, but I'm not worried about a couple ounces here or there.

I bought some of the Sylo stuff, and while it was nice, the inseam must have been for someone for 6'4", which definitely isn't me. I've looked at the Kuiu Teton stuff, but I don't like that they dont have pit zips. Looked at the Cabelas Rain Suede stuff, but I don't know much about it.

That brings me to the Sitka stuff.. Was originally thinking the Dewpoint jacket and pants, but can anyone tell me why the Cloudburst stuff is cheaper? Just the weight? Is the Cloudburst stuff too heavy to wear when its 60 degrees?

I love my Dewpoint set, but if weight and space weren't an issue I would look for something cheaper and maybe more durable.

Dewpoint is lighter and has one pocket.
Cloudburst is a little heavier and has lots of pockets.
I have the cloudburst and the jacket is awesome. For turkey hunting I'd be getting the downpour set because it's quieter.

I have the Sitka Downpour set. I know it doesn't have the pit zips like you are looking for. This is the best rain gear I've ever owned. I have yet to get wet and I've literally been in some downpours. It's the quietest rain gear I've ever hunted in. The fit is excellent. I'm 6'1" and the inseam on the XL pants is perfect. I wear 32 length in Levi's.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I've seen the Downpour stuff in person before, and I may have to look into that a little harder. Is the outer fabric on the Dewpoint/Cloudburst just the same as like the Jetstream jacket?

I have a Jetstream vest and they are completely different. The material of the Downpour stuff reminds me of my Cabela's microtex pants. I don't know if that helps to explain but that's what it feels like to me. It's a softer material than the Jetstream.

I've seen the fabric on the Downpour, and yes, you are right, its a micro-brushed fleece.

Ryan R mentioned that the Downpour would be quieter than the Cloudburst, so I'm curious just how much louder the Cloudburst would be. If its no louder than the Jetstream stuff, it shouldn't be a problem.

And between the Downpour and Cloudburst, would you say one is more durable than the other?

I've had great luck with my Cloudburst for 5 seasons now including some hard use during steelhead season. I haven't really had to use it during hunting season yet but know it will work extremely well when required.

I don't really worry about the noise issue. If it is raining hard enough to wear it the ambient noise of the storm itself will cover what little noise the jacket does make. Of course this might not hold true above tree line but forests can get pretty loud during a good rainstorm.
