If ya'll really want to see something funny. Go to thread on Newberg's forum asking the very same thing and the results are a 180 from here. Seems like ALL of them applied. LOL

My boy applied for a limited license and me and friend applied for a general with 2.5 points, so basically have a 10% chance in the random. I am hoping my boy draws. We didn’t apply until the last due to being undecided

I don’t really believe in traveling to hunt. I’ll cross the divide once in a while but I’ve never driven more than a couple hours. Just not my thing unless someone gives me a free tag or pays me.

I have never hunted outside of my home state but part of the reason I'm here is to learn in anticipation of going on some non-res western hunts for elk, mule deer and pronghorn.

One more no. Still putting in for deer and antelope. Montana isn’t getting my money anymore either until my stocks perform,

Thats because very few of us even hunt on rokslide anymore, were simply here to support the MHG.

I didn't apply for the first time in many years. Last year was really rough out there- it just isn't the same as it once was. For those of you considering entering, it is still a great time and you won't know what you are missing. To those that have hunted out there for years, you will understand on your next hunt.

I am taking my son on a private land cow hunt assuming he can draw. Last year was 100%.

I didn’t. Thought about it pretty hard but decided to keep buying points for now and see what happens in the future

I always apply. But I wouldn’t burn my points because someone on a podcast told me to. I never save any to burn so I don’t get to think about that. Lol Except for deer points that is.

I think he's concerned that the 125,000 nr that didn't apply for an Elk hunt and only bought a point in 2022 might jump in after seeing all the talk of possible changes coming in the future.
