I live on the Mexican border in New Mexico. I stopped going to Mexico a long time ago. Which is kind of sad, because I would really like to hunt there.

There are DBH hunts in Chihuahua, Sonora and Baja California.

The way I see it, if you have $60,000 to spend on a sheep hunt you have $80,000 to spend on a sheep hunt with a indian reservation or land owner in New Mexico. Ted Turners Amandaris has desert hunts for that.

https://worldwidetrophyadventures.c...rivate-land-desert-sheep-hunt-guaranteed-tag/ This is the Amandaris Ranch.

https://worldwidetrophyadventures.com/big-game-hunting-trips/ Then look for Deserts

There are also game ranch hunts in Mexico for under $50,000.

The Texas landowner desert hunts are here. I do not know what they charge.

https://www.texasbighornsociety.org/ Contact them to find out who else has tags for sale in Texas.

https://www.highwestoutfitter.com/hunt-texas-desert-bighorn these guys have hunts.

You’re right he does have sheep hunts. Don’t want to put a phone number on this forum because I know the persona number of the guy that runs it for Jay Scott..

Google the outfitters real good, I remember reading about a really bad outfitter there a couple years ago. He took a bunch of hunters money and one guy even killed a sheep but never got it because it was poached off land the outfitter didn’t have leased.

I could do it but my interest is really low and it would keep me from going anywhere else for a couple years.

When I wanted to do it I couldn’t afford it. Now that I can make it happen I don’t see the value. I actually live in DBH county and see them a couple of times a month. I apply if I draw a tag. I’d love to go. The cost keeps me away. I don’t get the hype or value of expensive hunts as middle class. Too many other things to do in life.

Yep I’ll be down there in December and looking forward to it. PM me sometime if you’d like.

I hunted with La Palmosa this past Feb. A buddy couldn't go and offered me his spot at a nicer price.
Absolutely fabulous in every aspect. Shot a mid 170 sheep day 2. Lodging and meals are 5 star.DSC00684_1.JPG

I'm with Mojave. I could afford it, but would rather do 10 aoudad hunts in the same desert country.

Dont go with Chaku Peru. Had a friend go, never got to hunt and the outfitter was arrested shortly after he left for illegally killing the sheep my friend was ‘supposedly’ hunting.

Ive heard good things about El Chaparral and Carmen Island.

When I was in Sonora last February, drove by El Chap. Big fancy lodge all lit up at night top of mountain and miles of high fence.
Also while at airpport 2 hunters were frantic and upset as the Outfitter had not shown up to pick them up, didn’t ask who was the outfitter, just did my thing with police and gun permit and moved along.
I would attend sheep show and visit with all desert outfitters, good luck!
