deleting a thread ?

After an item is sold how do you go about deleting the thread ?

Just edit the title to include that it's been sold.

Seeing items and the condition/price is a good reference for others looking to buy and sell.

Change the prefix to sold and it will lock it as well.

Is it possible to delete a thread forever? Or will marking it sold eventually delete it?
