Deer Hunting in Colorado GMU 391 / Salvaging Archery Season

I made mistake and am looking to salvage my deer archery season. I would appreciate any help. I put in for an archery tag for deer in Colorado. I had a co-worker willing to let me use their land to hunt deer on in Evergreen. However, I messed up by selecting the wrong GMU. The GMU I put in for is 391. I got a tag for it and GMU 461. My co-worker is on the west side of Evergreen, which is GMU 39. I'm looking for any help finding land on GMU 391. I can pay a little money if it comes down to it but now much. I'm also more than willing to share the meat if I kill a deer.

Welcome to Rokslide. The forum rules don't allow naming units. All that said, I think you oughta just give it hell. Don't worry about buying onto land... OnX all the public lands available and stay mobile to avoid hunting pressure and find some critters. Door knock too, if you find something to chase!

Ya we don’t normally allow unit specific questions but the spirit of that was to curb spot burning on public land or an abundance of applications skewing the draw odds. This situation is a little different so long as nothing specific gets publicly posted.

You’re in a pickle though for private land access or even accessible public in those units.
