Any suggestions on a heavy use dedicated AR can? Looking for something rugged that can withstand some fun stuff like a couple mag dumps, with a preference for as much suppression as I can get. I have a short (120yd) backyard range, and I'm not trying to annoy the few neighbors around.

I know the OG is rugged and could withstand the use but I'm worried it doesn't suppress enough? Mainly looking for a .223/5.56 can but if there's a .30cal can that fits the bill I could use it on my 300blk also. But I'm not willing to sacrifice suppression on .223 to use it on the 300blk.

I would look at an OCL polonium. They have a 6mm and a 30 cal model. Or something from the LPM anthem line-up. No experience with LPM but the OCL polonium with an adjustable gas block is very pleasant to shoot, and economical to boot.

I use a US OG on mine; it's not as quiet as a 223-specific can, but it works just fine, and I can swap it to my AR-10.

This was the exact usage I got the OCL Polonium 30. It’s cheap and can take abuse. Their CS is also excellent.

It is gassy on the gas blasters. AGB or BRT gas tube will likely be mandatory unless you’re OK with it. It’s not as quiet as my Reaper or Nomad TiXC on the 300 blackout though. Pew science or whatever rated it as not great on .223 but I’m very happy with it on my 12.5.

If you want a robust can, it’s hard to beat an old school Silencerco Specwar. It’s discontinued and heavy as hell but mine has been bomb proof with likely 15,000 or more rounds through it.

Another option is an old school AAC 7.62-SDN/SDN-6. Not sure if they are still available but similar to above, they are very durable.

I don’t have much to offer on more modern cans.

Thanks for all of the responses guys. I'll have to do some research on the suggestions as I'm not familiar with all of them. Hoping to pick one up in the next couple months.
