Having a hard time making a decision on a can for my wife’s coyote gun build. We have plenty of surpressors for our bolt guns but what would you recommend for a dedicated Ar can. 22 arc 18” barrel rifle length gas system with an adjustable gas block. Mix of banging steel and coyote hunting.
So far I’ve been looking at the Cat WB. Anything else out there that may be better? Thanks in advance

It depends on what you mean by "better" - more durable, better back-pressure characteristics, weight, etc. The WB seems to be a really good all-around can though. Definitely not a "wrong" choice, and IIRC they offer a titanium version, which is what I'd personally go for in a hunting or recreational gun. For a gas gun, it's not a bad idea to prioritize backpressure reduction. The WB is offered as a "reduced backpressure" design, and should be fine.

There's a lot of innovation in the suppressor world right now, so it's hard to keep up. The OCL Polonium K is a good hard-use option, with decent backpressure characteristics, and I went with that one for one of my ARs not long ago. The CGS Helios, the Huxwrx Flow 556K, and the WB are the only other ones I'd presently consider for most normal gas guns at the moment. There may very well be better ones in different categories, but all four are solid options, depending on what you're prioritizing.

The recce5 has treated me well! Unsure if the boys over at griffin have anything new and groundbreaking for civilians. But they have a showroom now and offer direct to consumers. But I can’t get across town during their hours to confirm.

I have a Optimus 6 waiting at my ffl for pickup. It’s their latest and greatest.

Thanks for the suggestions I’m terrible at making up my mind. So we’re ordering the WB and Optimus 6. Have a couple more lowers waiting for me to do something with so they’ll get put to use
I have a couple of griffins, along with a few other brands. No complaints on my griffins.

The CAT ODB has better PewScience numbers than the WB. The ODB is a fantastic AR15/AR10 can. I own two and have been hovering over the buy another button.

OTOH- Silencer Analytics on Youtube is pretty keen on the Sig Hexium556. He rates that can as the equal to the CAT JL in a much nicer 6" size.

I have a cat Noah that I really like. I’d maybe take a look at their vb6 if you’re not in a huge hurry.

I've got the same can on my 12.5. I like it. Gun is still stupid loud but 10x better than a non suppressed gun.

So many good options as technology to manufacture gets more sophisticated and economical.

I’ve got a lot of 556 specific cans. I prefer inconel over titanium. I’d recommend looking at Ridgeback Defense’s Rhino series and Dillon DRC. The WB is nice, and you can always go with higher back pressure cans that are lighter on the wallet as this rifle is very tunable. Some good options have been presented. I’ve had great success running YHM products over many years. They’re durable, their MDs lock up well, maintain zero, and customer service is great.

I run a yhm fat cat on my ar's. It is or was the highest volume compact can out there. Its a little louder than my gemtech tracker 30, but it's 3 inches shorter. On the end of a 16" ar its downright handy. Full auto rated, could even use it on my 22-250. It also goes on my ruger American 223. No experience with the cans you mentioned
