Eurooptic has an entire .223 rifle with factory threaded 16” barrel less than $600 I think.

I will buy it and sell it to you to save sales tax… I am already ordering one or two to nitride bolt/action/barrel and resell.

I currently have a tikka 223 16” 1:8 that shoots 77’s well at 2740 fps. But I’d like to shoot 80s or 88s so I feel more comfortable hunting with it in windy, mountainous, longer shots terrain. Thinking about also rebarreling my 18” tikka 6.5cm to an ultra fast 6mm like 6PRC or 6UM as the main hunting rifle. More room for wind call errors and in theory better hits

@hereinaz I'd be interested in a factory threaded 7-08 takeoff if you need to choose something to pull for a build. Also I'm sure the 1:8 .243 will surely sell easy too (what I'm running already).

I was going to see if I could drum up interest in a lighter weight contour in 22GT but I see now that you've added full custom option to the page about $50 cheaper than PB (for threaded)

Trying to give some good deals as we grow the armory. We aren’t going to be full service gunsmiths. To be sure, we do no actual gunsmiths skilled work. I have torque wrench skills, not lathe skills…

And, we are using your preorder money to grow, so makes sense to me. We couldn’t get all these barrels on our shelves without you. After the presale, we’ll have a few in stock until the next go round probably in February.

For the record, what the velocity on those two?

For practical purposes, IMO the 150 FPS difference inside 600 is minimal. Going past that it matters much more.

If that is the case, then I would go all the way to 40 because priority is velocity.

That’s the way my brain works on this. PRC for the masses wanting something simple/better for wind inside 600. It’s overwhelming to many to go full wildcat fireforming, special dies, limited brass, etc.

Go UM 40 for the distance. Not much for me to split the difference with the UM 30 just because I don’t want to “fireform”. That always seems silly to me because a UM 40 is actually both! Shoot it like a UM 30 for the first 100 virgin brass. Then shoot it like a UM 40… (edited)

Fireforming is just shooting with the UM design.

My 6saum topped out at 3340-3350 with a full case of N570, thats where pressure was apparent on case heads. The 6prc did so right at 3220, it liked 3200mv and shoots well there its just so close to pressure that it's not a realistic field load.

I run the 6saum at 3220 and the prc is right at 3100. These are good in all weather scenarios.

When my 223 ai barrel is done can I just send you my rifle and have you bust the factory barrel off? Got a buddy down the street with a barrel vice. Action wrench isn't too expensive. But I don't want to attempt breaking that oem barrel off.
