@hereinaz any update on eta on the helical fluted preorders? 10 weeks should be sometime this month I think

If Ubershort with a can isn't the paramount goal, 20in is the best length for the 6cm, my opinion anyway. I happen to have one the original 20in pre-orders from last year, on the womans hunting rig. 109s shoot great at 2920 w/ H4350 and a Scythe-TImebomb

Its pretty much a short shank taperless 0.750 contour.

Given any thought to a 284 Win? I posted in here a while back with basically the same specs that you and @Stache Attack listed just in a 284 Win instead of 7-08. A 284 has 200 fps-(ish) over the 7-08 which would be nice going short on the barrel. Just thought I'd throw it out there and see what you guys thought!

I like the idea, just was aiming at chambering I already have a pile of brass/dies for, but you’re right a 284 Win in an 18” barrel and LA bolt stop/mag would be just about the sweet spot for velocity with 162’s with a fairly mild load even… pretty compelling, let me stew on it a bit, any other takers?

I’m kind of in the same boat being fully setup with components loading for a few 7-08’s. They all have 22” barrels and I’ve wanted to shorten them up but don’t want to slow them down even more.
