About to buy the first silencer in a family trust. It is for a central OR Elk hunt in '26 on a 300WM with a 24" barrel. The break on my rifle had been ringing my bell. I would move it around minimally, probably to a 308 for the deer season.

Due to a bunch of contributing circumstances, I am looking at the options available at Silencer Shop. I focused on the CGS Hyperion, Nomad TI, and the RXD30TI.

The most unknown quantity in the mix is the new RXD. It has dang good marketing and there are few negative points in the reviews on YouTube.

Looking to ask this crew for some advice. Appreciate the help.

Yeah, i'd never heard of it before this post. Looks like an XC but with a built in Ebrake but slightly heavier?
So almost the same weight as the LTI XC but 1.5" shorter. The e-brake looks good but they also combined two of their baffle designs. Testers said it was nice and quiet but I did not hear anyone saying the e-brake difference was crazy noticeable. I am leaning towards the LTI XC, it is in stock and more user tested.

The youtube comparison videos of it are pretty impressive. On it's face it doesn't intrigue me much but those results comparing to CAT JL and Vent 1 are good advertisement. And if it is less gassy, even on a bolt gun, that could be another benefit.

Seeing multiple YT channels compare the performance to the CAT JL and Vent 1 sold me. I put one on order, and Dead Air says the first batch should ship by the end of the month. I'll update the thread in July.... hopefully. Thanks for the input!

I'm in for an rxd30ti too. The vent 1 and the cat jl were on the short list for me. Then I saw some videos and the the 2" shorter with a comparable sound really sold it for me since it's going on a 22" 300wm that I'm going to pack around. Still might pick up a jl down the road and maybe the 22 version.

It will be great to hear your feedback. Did you get any word on fulfillment times? When I spoke to DA they said end of month or so. They did not give an idea around the existence or size of a backlog.

No not really, I talked to them a couple weeks ago and was told there were getting an order in this month but were unsure of exactly how many and when they will be received. I have been meaning to call this week to see if they know where I stand in the line. I check my order on the web page and it said that it was on back order.

I was looking into the back order situation and saw some sites were listing the units as In Stock. I got a response back today from Silencer Shop.

"We filled the first 30 backorders earlier this month with everything Dead Air sent us. Still 100 backorders to go - oldest is from April, so yours is toward the back end of that 100.

We do not have a timeline from Dead Air when they'll send us the next inbound shipment."

I looked into more reviews mentioning the e-brake. Some folks report is didn’t make much of a difference but they were shooting 308 or 6.5cm. Reviews that ran it on magnums said that was where the e break made a noticeable difference.

Seems really unimpressive in regard to weight/length/cost and generally what I’ve heard about suppression.

What am I missing here??? Finicky built in brakes like the silencer central meat eater?

For me it was being a over an inch or more shorter than the cat jl, vent 1 or the hyperion while supposedly offering comparable sound reduction from what I came across. I would rather not have an integrated break but it isnt a deal breaker and I wasn't upset about saving a couple hundred bucks either. The proof will be in the pudding.
