DC with Toddlers

For kids that young go to the children's science museum. It's right off the mall and has a ton of hands on kid-friendly activities. My girls loved it at that age. Natural History and Air and Space would probably be good time killers too. They can at least "see" the cool things. Lots of those places have timed entry (or did).
