So I've got an Icon Pro 3200. Looking for something for a day pack /turkey pack that could haul meat out. I really like the looks of the Pop Up(and it looks almost exactly like what I've been wanting for a while), but I could get an 1850 bag a lot cheaper.

Any input for one over the other?

I just ordered a popup28 from Hunt of the Day for $225 + $10 shipping. I am interested in the frame. I am going to try this pack as it comes, but I have another bag that I am going to try to mount to it for a little more capacity.

I had a two icon pro 1850s, i liked the bag lay out for the most part. The first I broke a frame on, after many go rounds with CS and them trying to say was my fault with modifications( trying get of a squeak with every other step) I finally got them to send a new one. The second i sold promptly.
I think it will work just fine for what your doing.
That said i like the pop up( i have an 18) way better for your applications. In day pack mod is short and streamline, light weight and lacks volume in the belt which is super for day pack applications. Quialty is execllent like all MR products i have owned. So far i have had my pop up with 20 pounds in the bag and 50 in the load shelf. I dont think it hauls as well as my guide lite frame over 50 pounds, that said it way way more day pack functional and comfortable with ligt loads. I think you can haul 70-80 without a problem with the pop up, better then a lot of full size frames. But not a heavy load hauler unless your in a jam.
I think MR knocked it out of the park with the Pop Up packs. These are going to work well for a lot of hunters.

I purchased a Pop Up even though I already own a Cadillac hauler/multi day frame pack (SG Krux/Sky 5900), simply because as much as I love to backpack hunt, the vast majority of my hunting is long day hunts. The Pop Up has a very low profile in in non haul mode and lets me get through tangled areas much easier than a full frame pack. I wasn’t sure of how it would pack meat (or sand in this case :D) so when I first got it I did multiple hikes (4-5 miles with a lot of gain/descent) loaded with 45 lbs, 60 lbs and 75 lbs. I’m now very confident in its ability to haul. It doesn’t haul as good as my Krux, but wouldn’t expect it to.

For day trips with the possibility of hauling, the Pop Up delivers.

I’ve got the Icon Pro 1850 setup and agree that unless you don’t like the frame or suspension it’s a better way to go. I just don’t see much difference with that MR pack of the KUIU fits you.
