I need some serious help…
Our group typically does day hunts out of our main camp. I am looking for recs for a day pack that is light weight and has rifle carrying pouch so I can be hands free.
Most of my buddies suggested a framed pack due to comfort and practicality , is there such a thing for a smaller day pack?

Most framed packs are modular with various size bags to choose from. If you're only day hunting, you can get the smallest bag.
If you're going to pack meat out, you'll probably want a frame pack.
After getting into western hunting, if I'm carrying a pack on an eastern deer hunt, I'm using my frame pack.
I'd check out the Exo K4 2200

I’d give the Stone Glacier Approach a shot if I were you. I think packs are like boots and you need one that is comfortable for you.

My first exo bag was a k4 2200 with a lid. It’s what I use for day hunts. I swap a larger bag on the frame for longer hunts. If you have the ability, I would recommend trying a few frames to see what is most comfortable for you. Eco has a great return policy if you ordered a pack and ended up not like how it fit or was layed out.

Stone Glacier frame with integrated load shelf.
Custom day bag attached.
Slik Slink for the rifle. (V2 is way better than V3)

Mod frame w/load sling, single large batwing and a lid. Slik sling Gen 1 or similar config.

I use my Mystery Ranch frame and 22L Mule day pack for this purpose and when tree stand hunting. Works a'charm.
