Darton Sequel st2?

Thank you for the great advice and yes I hope this bow will last me for that long and so far I'm loving it and my plan since I scored such a good deal on that kit 99$ was to use them to get the sight dialed in at farther distance and build confidence and then take them off to better my skills with out them so when I'm battling the idaho jungle bush lol I won't need to rely on the stabilizers and getting them caught on everything.

I ordered the ST2 35 from my local shop and I am impatiently waiting, I could have picked up the 33 but figured why not go for it and get the 35. I don't mind having a longer bow for the kind of hunting I typically do out west. I'll post my thoughts here when I get my hands on it. Someone mentioned the bow feeling really solid on the back wall despite being cable stop. I honestly drew it back the first time not realizing it and had to look. when compared to my Hoyt VTM 34 (which I don't think is bad) it felt much more solid.

The stars aligned and I ordered a Folds of Honor ST2 35" today. I think it's a great cause and was even more thrilled to see that there's no additional cost.

I also ordered the 75% speed mod to fiddle with. I've got a June/July timeline for a Rokslide Review, so those who are curious, let me know what you want to know more about.

I’d really love to know how the draw cycle is. I usually shoot Hoyt but was kind of digging the Mathew lift x. Dartons been my next to try just haven’t been able to get into a shop and actually shoot one yet.

I have shot the Sequel ST2 in 33" and 35" a fair amount before ordering. Next to the LiftX33 in fact. 30.5" dl settings. My impression is that the Dartons may be a touch smoother dropping into the valley at the end of the draw cycle. SImiliar ot the RX8 and Elite's with smooth mods I reviewed here in years' past.

I had labrum surgery on my drawing shoulder two weeks ago, and it has been planned for months. As such, I had ordered a LiftX33 when they were relased so I could take advantage of the switchweight through rehab and after I found out about the new tuning feature. The Mathews and Darton should be arriving at the same time, both ordered as 50-60lb bows, so I will have a "popular" comparison.

I chose the 35" Darton to follow the path of a "hybrid" bow in real practice. I have been shooting stabilizer free and using the quivalyzer in both side and front positions interchangeably, but I did order some stabilizers to play with for the target bow aspect of a hybrid/crossover 35" bow. I should be in the mix for a pronghorn tag in the area I know well, and the stabilizers might be helpful with them.

Yeah I’ve always loved a longer ata bow usually hunting more wide open areas and need a little more forgiveness. I like that you say it’s smoother going into the valley cause I’m not a big fan of the big drop into the valley especially after a day at the range. On paper and what I’ve read I’m glad I’ve decided to hold of on a new bow. As the days go on darton is really starting to intrigue me. I need to go get my hands on one.

I forgot that the Sequel comes with a smooth mod and a speed mod standard. I don't know what the shipped-as setup is for them, so I don't know which version my impression of it applies to. Same for the draw stop, it has a thick and thin stop standard, but I don't know what I shot. I am intrigued by the 75% speed mod I ordered that is not standard.

Thank you I’ll keep that in mind when I go to the shop to try one out
I got word these are shipped with the regular mod and 85% draw stop installed. The let off adjustable faster mod and a bigger diameter 75% let off draw stop are included in the box.

The fastest mod 75% only is an add on purchase.

This bow leg thing just got released, so I called in and added one to my order to try out.

I'm going to go from no additions on bows for a handful of years to learning how a good bit of add-ons helps/hurts the down-range results.

I ordered the exact same bow on the same day you did. I'm just getting back to shooting a compound after going with a crossbow. These new bows are amazing, Looking forward to getting back in to it with this bow. I am going to try and keep my setup 100% American made.

Did you get yours yet?

Darton is Conquest and Black Eagle, and the latter two have some good sales going on for colorway changes. I ended up ordering a front/side bar set and a bunch of Spartan arrows as well. I haven't looked at the shafts to see where they are made at yet, and the stabilizers are in USPS limbo.

I didn't get it yet, they said to expect 3 weeks. So should be soon.

I just ran my Sequel 33 over the Garmin chronograph last night for curiosity sake.

I am shooting a 441 grain arrow at 280 fps.
The bow is only cranked to 57 lbs draw weight right now! ( shoulder problem).
I do have a pretty long draw though... 31".

I find that darned impressive.

Is it a 60 or 70 max?
