just curious if most guys use the regular cushion or the ones that have more padding.

i was leaning towards the thicker ones but wasn't sure how much they affect boot fit.

Thanks

No joke, great socks. Used thin on CO high country muley hunt last year. Brutal terrain and socks were great. Maybe more info on where/what your going to do.

I have the lightweight and Med weight ones, only use the light ones. Find the medium too thick for my boots. Feet run warm anyways so the lightweight ones work awesome.

I have the standard "cushion" boot socks, and some "light cushion" endurance low socks for everyday wear. I just ordered some crew light cushion for anything but the coldest hunts. My wife has the extra thick cushion and she likes them even in summer. They thermal regulate pretty well in any thickness imo, so just go for how much padding you want.

They are great socks and I like the light weight version. Just out of curiosity, are most of you running liners under the darn tough socks?

I like their mountaineering socks for colder temps when I need a dense sock paired with a stiff boot.

I run their standard issue dress socks for the summer and archery season. No cushion. Excellent socks no matter which version you go with.

id try a pair of each. everyone is different.i like mine but had to try a few styles.i prefer the cushion version. great warranty and all but they are an odd fitting sock out of all the socks i have owned. if you have big calves you may have issues with the Darn toughs. searching online after i bought mine i found some have call them Darn tights. i dont think they make a loose fit sock above the ankles.they are a thin sock with a tight weave. they will never slide down on you thats for sure. i found the constant compression being a little annoying at first. they didnt loosen up after a few washes but all in all a quality sock.
